Fall is the perfect time for feeding your lawn, The soil is warm, and the weather is mild (usually). Some of our lawns, espescially the cool-season lawns (Marathon) are looking tired and need a pick me up. We recommend Gardner & Bloome Lawn Fertilizer. For cool season lawns (blade type lawns like fescue, bluegrass, and rye) we recommend feeding now and again a week before Thanksgiving. This will help maintain the nice green color and create a strong network of healthy root development. For warm season lawns (Bermuda, St. Augustine, and Dichondra), we recommend feeding now, and again the last week of October. Once the grass receives the final feeding in October, these warm season lawns don't need to be mowed, otherwise they will lose their green color. Click to print this article. |
